Anxiety help… How can i get my life back?

I suffered a pretty bad panic attack almost 2 months ago…since then i have had smaller ones, but I have this daily anxiety about how i feel. I know that my obsessive worry about my anxiety has just made it worse, but it has caused me to forget what ‘feeling normal’ is like. I tend to feel detached from my life and have a hard time thinking outside of ‘right now’ because i’m so wrapped up in anxiety. I went to my doctor and she gave me Lexapro and Lorazepam to take as needed until the Lex takes effect. So far, the only times I am able to function and feel somewhat normal is when i take the Lorazepam. I have only been on 10mg Lex for a week now…
I have been seeing a regular therapist (twice) but am waiting on a call back with a psychiatrist who specializes in anxiety. I just want to know, what can i do to get back to normal? How can i ground myself to feel sanity again? I know I need to be patient until the meds kick in, but this is so hard and scary.

I had this intense fear or dread that I am going to die any minute. My doctor changed my medicine from Celexa to Lexapro. It has been working and I feel ok for the most part. I still have relapses sometimes and its my own fault because I don’t seem a counselor. If you really want the medicine to work like it should keep seeing your therapist and psychatrist.
