should i try to get anxiety pills?
My chest hurts constantly and my heart beats really fast a lot. Like panic attacks but not particularly severe. Just constant and I just get really nervous about everything. It just feels like I’m in a constant state of anxiety. School’s been stressful. been going on for a few months.
should i go to a dr.? is this just normal stress or is the fact that my heart feels like it’s going really fast a lot bad?
Stress causing anxiety is serious when it intervenes with your everyday life. It sounds like it’s doing that from what you right. There are a lot of treatment out there to help you be at ease and comfortable in day to day life. First step is contacting a counselor or therapist. Anxiety has roots and a lot of people assume they know what they are without actually digging to see what happened and how they can get better. Therapists offer a safe private and open enviorment where you will be getting the help you deserve. They help you discover things about yourself you never even knew before. There are certain therapists that have specialties in areas such as anxiety, or a form of therapy like cognitive behavioral therapy (usually used for social anxiety but can help with regular anxiety too) or electic therapy where you and your therapist set up your own plan and what you are looking to get out of each session. Its a journey to a better life. There are also support groups for people with anxiety and stress also known as therapy groups. Talking to people who can relate to you can make you feel at home in a way like your not the only one who is feeling like this. There are natural home remedies for anxiety also. Setting up a meeting with your general practitioner or your therapist will provide you with resources of how to overcome anxiety. This includes healthy foods so the nutrient will help you fight anxious feelings, exercise 30 min. a day ( the body produces happy neurons and have been known to cure mild depression and anxiety), meditation, vitamins and herbal medication, activity classes, ETC. Before taking any natural medication talk to your doctor in case you have an allergy or are taking any other medicine that could affect its beneficial qualities. As far as official medication goes that can work well too. There are different form of anxiety medication including SSRI’S (antidepressants) and Benzos ( short term anti anxiety medication). Benzos can lead to a tolerance in the body where they can stop working after a month and have been known to be highly addictive and lead to problems. SSRI’s are much safer and are used to treat depression, general anxiety disorder, panick attacks, social anxiety, OCD, PMDD, and more. With medication like both of these it is a process of trial and error. Every ones body makeup is different so certain medicines may not work or come with bad sideffect or work great and help you reach a stable state of mind. All of this medication will come with side effects for the first 4 to 10 days however. Stay away from benzos if your looking for an anti anxiety pill try SSRI’s or Buspar. Buspar is kind of like benzos except it isn’t addictive because there is no sedation effect, also you cant take it any time you feel anxious it takes 3 to 4 weeks to get into your system. SSRI’s are the same, takes 3 to 4 weeks to get into your system and start feeling better. Either or, make sure you get yourself the help you need and deserve, find a therapist that’s right for you, get a good home remedie plan going so your anxiety lessens, ask your doctor about herbal over the counter meds and vitamins, and if you need it try contacting a psychiatrist about medication. Last thing never take herbal medication with prescribed medication without first checking in with your doctor. You deserve to be healthy and happy, goo luck on your journey:)
