Why do physical symptoms show up AFTER your Anxiety attack?
I had an anxiety attack yesterday, & after talking out my frustration, I felt much better. Later on, I had an unbearable headache, sore throat, & nausea.
Besides all the symptoms you had, I vomit. My nerves go so haywire that my stomach cannot take it.
I end up getting sick to my stomach after the headache from the nerves, sore throat from yelling, and nausea from nerves.
Good luck.

Coping with Social Anxiety $9.99 An essential guide for the 5.3 million American sufferers of social anxiety from a leading psychiatrist and researcher An estimated 5.3 million Americans experience social anxiety disorder, making it the third most common psychiatric illness in the United States. In Coping with Social Anxiety , Eric Hollander, director of the Compulsive, Impulsive, and Anxiety Disorders Program at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center explains – the nature of social anxiety disorder and how it differs from simple shyness and phobia – the latest research on the physiological effects of social anxiety disorder and its links with depression – the full range of treatment options-and how to select the best therapeutic course with the help of a medical professional Illustrated by accounts of successful treatment from Hollander’s clinical practice, this book will help readers make informed judgments about the proper treatment to seek for themselves or someone close to them. |

Overcoming Anxiety For Dummies $26.5 There are many forms of anxiety disorder, including General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Attacks, Phobias (including social anxiety), Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Acute Stress Disorder. Even in their most mild forms, these disorders can be troubling and exhausting – at worst they can severely disable a person’s ability to function in day-to-day life. Severe anxiety and phobic disorders affect 18% of the UK population. (nopanic.org.uk) Symptoms of anxiety range from the mental and emotional – depression, having difficulty concentrating, losing patience easily – to the physical – excessive thirst, headaches, pins and needles, and more (www.bbc.co.uk) Often the problem is self-feeding – people try to keep things under control whilst simultaneously worrying about being anxious all the time, and the cycle goes on. Psychotherapy, medication and self help are the key treatments for anxiety – however, as many people either don’t have access to, or choose not to take, professional treatment, self help is the key for a majority of sufferers. A Dummies book on the subject will present the facts without the jargon, and help people find the trustworthy guidance they need. |
