Would this be a bad impression on my new english teacher?
Okay so this next school year I am going to be a freshman in high school. During 8th we got a paper about of summer reading projects. We have to either read a memoir, a biography, or a auto. It said on the paper about this project that this would be our first impression on our new english teacher, and that we should strive to make a good one since this would be our first grade of the year. I wanted to read a memoir about someones journey though either depression, anxiety or an eating disorder since I have had all of these before. We have to write about how we can connect to the book multiple times and write paragraphs about how we do. I wouldn’t say straight up that I had an eating disorder, but i might with the depression or anxiety. Should I really do my project on this, or something else? Please help me! Thanks ![]()
hey uhm do you mean yes it would be bad though?
Yeah maybe. Bio’s a always easy because you can pick out things in a persons life that you’ve related to and I guess you’ve got more to choose from.
If you feel comfortable sharing about that, I guess it’s ok but I’d focus on how you overcame it and where you are now as opposed to sought of dwelling on it and perhaps coming across as a bit heavy. Relate to the book of course, but cause it’s a first impression as well you want to start of I guess on a positive note showing that you’re a capable person who is able to do all things ![]()
Hope that helps you out a bit and all the best as a freshman!
