Can eating too much sugar lead to anxiety and impulsive thoughts?
last few days I ate too much junk Food with sugar.. and then my intrusive thoughts came back.. they’re really disturbing and obsessive.. good thing is I have psychotherapy tomorrow.. but really embarassed to talk about it..
HELL YES. Sugar can be a nightmare–not only can it increase anxiety and impulsive thoughts, but it can make you flat-out depressed, too. The really ironic thing is that a lot of people use sugar to self-medicate bad emotions, but in the end it only intensifies them. It’s a bit like an addiction!
