Anxiety Dog Wrap

My dog has anxiety if anyone but me holds her lead on walks?

I was hoping there is a reason that someone knows of why my dog has severe anxiety if I hand her lead over to someone else while going for a walk. If I am walking her she is so well-behaved, she never pulls and stays by my side or just behind my stride.
But, if even the person walking shoulder to shoulder with me tries to hold the lead she freaks out! She wraps around my legs, jumps up and tries to grab my leg and squeals. If my daughter or husband try to walk her ahead of me she stops dead in her tracks and will choke herself before walking away from me!
Brussels Griffons are known as “velcro Dogs” because they tend to be loyal to one person, but this is not only annoying when we try to enjoy a walk and I need to have free hands to wrangle my toddler…I also worry about what my dog is feeling that is so distressing to her!
Any answers/ideas here??? Thanks!!!

You can talk to your vet about this. You can also let your dog have one on one time with you husband and daughter and try to let them take her on walks by them selves. Obedience classes can be taken to. But there should be someone with you to help in the class. Hope this helps!
